52 Weeks of Lists – Week 5

52 Weeks of Lists – Week 5 is all about food, specifically, your favorite comfort food!

What is your go-to comfort food when you’re stressed, feeling down, or in a mood to celebrate?

This week’s focus is on comfort food because food is something that always brings me joy, no matter my mood.

52 Weeks of Lists - Week 5

When I’m feeling stressed or down, I turn to my favorite homemade lasagna. There’s something incredibly comforting about the warm, gooey cheese and rich tomato sauce, layered between perfectly cooked pasta. It’s a recipe that has been passed down in my family for generations and making it feels like a hug from home.

If I’m in a celebratory mood, nothing beats a perfectly cooked steak with a loaded baked potato. It’s a meal that feels special and always reminds me of good times with family and friends.

But comfort food isn’t just about the food itself, it’s also about the memories and feelings associated with it. It’s the warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you remember your grandmother’s homemade chicken and dumplings or the excitement of making popcorn for a movie night.

I believe that comfort food is a reflection of our experiences, our culture, and our personal tastes. And that’s why it’s so important to honor and celebrate it. So, for this week, I encourage you to think about your own comfort foods and what they mean to you.

Week 4 – Favorite Books

I have two books that I can read over and over both written by Jude Deveraux. A Knight in Shining Amour and Remembrance.

There are several series that I really enjoy and go back to.

“Favorite books are like wonderful dreams you can return to again and again.” ― Jennifer Spredemann
