A Year With My Camera – 1 Day 12 Pics – February

‘A Year with My Camera – 1 Day 12 Pics’ is a wonderful way to capture one day of my life every month. It acts as a visual diary, a reflection of that day. This helps me appreciate the beauty of everyday moments. Along with seeing how each month changes throughout the year.

A Year with My Camera

A Year With My Camera” is a fantastic course created by Emma Davies that takes you on a journey through the world of photography over a year. It’s designed for beginners and intermediate photographers who want to enhance their skills. The course covers all necessary aspects of photography, including composition, lighting, and editing. It also provides weekly assignments, perfect for gradual learning and practice. The community is incredibly supportive, and the constructive feedback I received is invaluable.

What is 1 Day 12 Pics?

Another great photography project I participate in is “1 Day 12 Pics.” On a chosen day each month, usually the first Saturday, the idea is to take one photo every hour for twelve consecutive hours. This project is a fantastic way to fine-tune your observation skills. It encourages me to look for beauty and interesting compositions in my everyday surroundings. The challenge of capturing my day in twelve images pushes me to think creatively and look at my environment from new perspectives.

Since I find taking a photo every hour challenging, I usually take several photos throughout the day until I have twelve. Usually I choose a specific topic such as “Around the Yard”. Then I take pictures of miscellaneous things that catch my attention and fit my theme.

February’s Theme

For A Year With My Camera – 1 Day 12 Pics – February, my photo theme is “Around the House & Yard.” This month seems to mark the beginning of the transition from Winter to Spring. Most of my photos centered around what was happening in my yard.

They captured the subtle changing of the seasons and the fun Tigger and I have being outdoors. There are photos of dormant plant life. And photos of flowers pushing up through the soil, getting ready to burst out in color. While to many, February may seem like a month where everything is “on hold,” to me, it’s the month that begins the stirring of Spring and the promise of new beginnings. A Year With My Camera – 1 Day 12 Pics – February captured the transition from Winter to Spring.

Stay tuned for next month when I document the next segment of ‘A Year With My Camera – 1 Day 12 Pics’. I’m eager to discover what the theme for March will be.
