DIY 4 x 4 Pumpkins

Let’s Make Pumpkins!!
Supplies
- 4 x 4 post – cut 4″, 6″ & 8″ sections
- Chalk Paint – Orange, White, Medium Brown and Yellow
- Foam Paint Brushes, Foam Circle Brush, Small Flat Paint Brush and Roller
- Painter’s Tape
- Sand Block
- Drill & 1/2″ bit
- Doll Pins
- Hack Saw
- Hot Glue Gun & Gorilla Glue Sticks
- Maple Leaf Wood Cutout
- Cricut Maker & Accessories
- Black Permanent Vinyl and Transfer Tape
- Jute Twine
- Black and Orange Small Buffalo Check Ribbons
Paint 4 x 4 posts with orange chalk paint. Let dry.
Wrap painter’s tape evenly around the 8″ post.
Paint 8″ post with white chalk paint. Let dry.
Dry brush white paint dots on 4″ post using a round foam sponge. Let dry.
Touch up stripes with orange. Let dry.
I never seem to be able to paint stripes without needing touch up.
Distress blocks using a sanding block.
Mark center of the top of the posts.
Drill holes in top of each pumpkin.
Use a hack saw and cut doll pins to about 2 1/2″ to 3″ lengths.
Paint pins with medium brown chalk paint. Let dry.
Hot glue doll pins in drilled holes. Let set.
Paint maple leaf wood cutout with yellow chalk paint. Let dry.
Cut “Welcome Fall” phrase from permanent vinyl using Cricut Maker. Use transfer tape to place on maple leaf.
Distress edge of maple leaf with medium brown chalk paint. Let dry.
Hang maple leaf from the 10″ pumpkin. Tie the Orange and Black Buffalo Check Ribbon around stems.
