Stuff You’ll Need –

Easy Peasy Jar Openers
  • 2 pieces of 7 x 7 fabric (main fabric & liner, like cotton or flannel)
  • 7 x 7 piece of Select Grip EasyLiner
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Straight Pins
  • Rotary Cutter (If you have one)
  • Sewing Machine
  • Quilter’s Square or Ruler
  • Iron

Steps

First up, turn your fabric and EasyLiner into 6 x 6 squares.

Then, put your main fabric right side up. Stack the EasyLiner on top, then the liner fabric right side down.

Pin ’em together.

Stitch around the edges using a 1/4″ seam allowance, and make sure to leave about a 3″ gap for turning.

Snip the corners and trim the seams, but leave the seam on the side with the gap alone.

Flip the jar opener so that the EasyLiner is on the outside. Use a bamboo corner turner to make the corners nice and sharp.

With the fabric side up, press the jar opener. Tuck the seam allowance of the gap inside and pin it shut.

Finally, top stitch around the jar opener making sure the gap is closed. Give the jar opener another press.
