Enjoy More Adventures Faux Book Stack
If you’re looking for a unique and budget-friendly way to decorate your shelves, a DIY wooden faux book stack is a great option. Not only is it easy to make, but it also adds a rustic, farmhouse touch to your home decor. This project is fun for adults and kids alike!
Let’s Do This!
Supplies
- 1 – 2 x 6 pine board cut into 3 – 8″ pieces
- Waverly Chalk paint – Plaster, Celery, Maize and Hazelnut
- Foam Paint Brushes
- Cricut Maker, Design Space & Black Permanent Vinyl or Vinyl Phrase
- Burlap ribbon
- Sunflower pick
- Jute Twine
- Wooden Beads
- Sandblock
- Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Using the sand block, sand wood pieces smooth.
Paint wood blocks with Plaster, Maize and Celery chalk paint. Let dry.
Distress wood blocks using Hazelnut chalk paint. Let dry.
Cut the phrase “Enjoy More Adventures” out of black permanent vinyl using the Cricut Maker. A pre-made vinyl phrase can be used instead of Cricut cutout.
Using the glue gun and Gorilla glue sticks, glue wood pieces together making sure all edges are even. Glue ribbon around the stack.
Paint three wood beads with matching chalk paint and string onto jute twine. Hot glue stringed beads, a faux bow and sunflower onto ribbon.
Display and enjoy your gorgeous decor!
