Finding the LOVEworks
Virginia is known for its iconic LOVE Signs that are spread across the state in various locations. These large, colorful signs are a perfect representation of the love and warmth that Virginia has to offer.
The LOVE art started out as simple white letters that the Virginia Tourism Corporation could take around to Virginia Welcome Centers.
I found my first LOVEworks sign at the Williamsburg Rest Area in 2013.
A Little Bit of “History”
The goal of these LOVEworks signs is to highlight Virginia as a family destination with love at the heart of every Virginia vacation.
Each LOVEwork sign has its own unique story and design, so take the time to learn about the history and significance behind each one. Make sure to also check out the surrounding areas and attractions, such as local shops and restaurants, that are often located near the LOVEwork signs.
Adventure Time!
Embarking on a LOVEwork adventure is a fun and unique way to explore Virginia. You can start by visiting the LOVEworks website to find a list of all the LOVEwork locations. From there, plan out your trip and make sure to bring your camera to capture all the memories.
Some popular LOVEwork locations include the Virginia Beach, the Natural Bridge State Park, and the Luray Caverns.
However, there are over 300 LOVEworks to choose from so LOVE can be found in every corner of the Commonwealth. The possibilities are endless!
