Griddle Stuffed Burgers

Ingredients

  • About 1/4 lb of ground beef per burger
  • Stuffing Ingredients of Your Choice
  • Stuffed Burger Press

The press comes with several parts and depending on how big you want the well to stuff ingredients in will depend on what part you use.

Steps

Mixing your ground beef with an egg will help keep your patty from falling apart. This is also the perfect time to add some seasonings to give your burger a burst of flavor.

Choose your favorite fillings. Popular options include cheddar cheese, blue cheese, caramelized onions, cooked bacon, and roasted peppers. Mozzarella cheese, bacon and a bit of barbecue sauce was my choice of stuffing.

Griddle Stuffed Burgers

I find it’s easier to press the “top” of the burger first. I roll the hamburger into a ball then use the press. Once I have the top the size and thickness I want I pop it out of the press and sit it aside.

Roll another ball of ground beef in the size you desire and place in the press. You’ll want this patty to be thick enough for your center well to be deep enough for fillings.

Griddle Stuffed Burgers

Use the small press to create a “well” for your stuffing ingredients.

Layer you fillings in a nice even layer.

Lay the top patty onto the bottom one and press them making sure you seal them together well.

Pop your stuffed burger out of the press. Season with salt & pepper as desired.

If necessary pinch the edges together to make sure none of your filling oozes out when cooking.

Cook on your griddle or grill on low heat until burger is done to your preference.

Enjoy the scrumptious pop of flavor when you bite into your griddle stuffed burgers!
