Let’s Do This!
Ingredients –
- non-stick cooking spray
- 1 pre-made pie filling at room temperature
- 1/4 cup of flour
- 1 cup blackberry pie filling
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 stick of melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
Steps
Spray air fryer basket with non-stick spray.
Preheat air fryer to 375°.
Roll pre-made pie filling to about 1/8-inch thick.
Use a 5″ round biscuit cutter or a bowl to cut out as many circle as possible. Gather the dough scraps and reroll as necessary to get as many circle as possible.
Place 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each dough circle.
Be careful not to use too much filling. It will ooze out the sides when you try to seal your hand pie.
Fold dough over into a half circle and press the edges together.
Crimp edges with a fork. To keep the dough from sticking to the fork and tearing, gently slide the fork off the dough. Don’t lift the fork up or the dough may stick to the fork.
Cut a couple slits into the hand pies for venting.
Brush with beaten egg.
Cook at 375° for about 8 – 10 minutes until golden brown. Flip the pies halfway though the cooking time. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of your air fryer and how many pies you can bake at one time.
Brush pies with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
Repeat until all pies are baked.
Serve warm.
