Let’s Welcome Spring Sign!!

Spring is full of new beginnings and fresh starts. What better way to welcome the season than with a beautiful handmade sign? I’m excited to share a simple and fun craft project with you that will result in a stunning Spring Welcome Sign to add a pop of color to your home.

Welcome Spring Sign

Materials –

  • 9 1/2″ x 12″ Sliplap Panel Sign
  • Acrylic Paint – Apple Barrel – White
  • Painter’s Tape
  • Sponge Brush
  • “Welcome Spring” svg – Design Bundles
  • Black Permanent Vinyl
  • Ribbon
  • Raffia
  • Pip Berries
  • Twine
  • Flower
  • Cricut & Design Space
  • Cricut Tools
  • Glue Gun & Glue Sticks

Steps –

Apply painter’s tape to the sign’s frame. Paint sliplap panel being careful not to get tape in the “ditches”.

Cut “Welcome Spring” phrase from black permanent vinyl using a Cricut and Design Space.

Remove excess vinyl by slowly pulling from one corner to the other on the diagonal. Weed areas that did not come off.

Cover the phrase with transfer tape and use the scrapper tool to firmly adhere the tape to the phrase.

Remove the back of the vinyl leaving the letters on the transfer tape. Position phrase on panel and smooth down using the scrapper tool.

Cut ribbon to desired length. Remove one flower top and cut the stem. Tie a bow in a couple strands of raffia and pull pip berry stem apart.

Layer ribbon, pip berries and raffia bow. Pinch the center and wrap twine around the center. Tie twine off in back. Dovetail ends of the ribbon.

Hot glue flower and ribbon “bow” to sign.

Hang and enjoy!
